Naupaka + Sonoran Gold Turquoise Ring (Size 8)
Naupaka + Sonoran Gold Turquoise Ring (Size 8)
Hand-fabricated Naupaka flower and glowing Sonoran Gold turquoise in an open-band ring that celebrates the beauty and mythology of the Hawaiian islands.
The “Romeo and Juliet” of the islands, the legend of the Naupaka flower tells of a princess and a fishermen who fell in love but were forbidden to marry. Heartbroken, the princess took the flower from behind her ear and tore it in two, keeping one half and giving her love the other. Each returned to their lands, the princess to the mountains, the fisherman to the sea. Now two variations of the half-bloom Naupaka flower can be found on the islands, one in the mountains, and one near the sea. They say when the flowers are picked and joined together, the lovers are once again reunited.
This sterling silver version of the Naupaka has been pierced, formed, and carved by hand. Sonoran Gold Turquoise accompanies the bloom, each on their separate side of an open band ring.
Ring is size 8 and though the band is an open style, it is not meant for size adjusting.
